The Joyful Gourmet is a new kitchen and culinary retail store, located in historic north-suburban Libertyville. Our warm and inviting demonstration kitchen is a 1000 square foot space built around a massive 10x13’ quartz island that seats 12, appropriately centered around a top-of-the-line commercial range for you to showcase your skills. With our open layout to the intimate wine bar, rest of the store, and tons of windows facing the restaurant district of downtown Libertyville - your event will be the talk of the town! And, we are conveniently located 1 block from the Milwaukee-North Metra train line, just a 50 minute ride from Union Station.

The Joyful Gourmet is hiring part-time chefs to run instructive and participative cooking events, as well as hosting chef-side non-participative dining events. Work as much or as little as fits your schedule. We offer very competitive pay for just a few hours of work.
- Professional experience required
- Experience with chef-side dining and/or participation instructional classes preferred.
- Current state of IL food handling certification required
