What are the responsibilities and job description for the GSRP Associate Teacher position at The Joyful Jungle Christian Learning Center?
The Joyful Jungle is seeking candidates that are willing to play, teach, and learn. We are looking for those who wish to receive the biggest hugs from the smallest students in our GSRP Preschool classroom! The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded preschool Program for four-year-old children with factors which may place them at risk of educational failure. We strive to give these kiddos steps for success!
*This shift is 7:45-4:45 Monday-Friday.*
Qualifications-
Employees MUST:
- Hold a current CDA Credential OR be in school for ECE
- Have open availability Monday-Friday 7am-6pm
- Have a High school Diploma or equivalent
- Complete a Background Check
- Complete a TB test
- Have a passion for working with children
- Be at least 18 years of age
Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate!
Responsibilities-
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work in a classroom with children 4-5 years old
- Ensure the daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards
- Follow along side your Lead Teacher in implementing daily routine and curriculum
- Implement family style meal times
- Implement potty training as needed
- Perform home visits with Lead GSRP Teacher
- Help to maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized
- Ensure children are supervised AT ALL TIMES
- Develop relationships with coworkers and build lasting relationships with families
