Our client is currently seeking a Accountant in the North Chicago, IL area
Title: Accountant
Location: North Chicago, IL
Payrate $85k-$95k
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly accounting closing and ensure timely completion.
Support daily, monthly, and year-end operations, including financial review and analysis.
Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
Support inventory takes and follow up on physical inventory counts.
Serve as a backup for accounts payable, processing and recording transactions, and ensuring accurate and timely payments.
Manage cash and reconcile bank accounts daily.
Support external auditors with tax preparation and financial evaluations.
Process functional and benefits expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation, and adjusting and reclassification journal entries
Qualifications
2 years of accounting experience.
Manufacturing experience is desirable.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Degree in Business or Accounting.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
