Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and manage wait times.
- Perform check-in and check-out tasks, including verifying patient demographics and insurance, completing pre-authorizations and pre-certifications, and copying required documents.
- Handle payments, including collecting co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, and issuing receipts.
- Manage the cashier box and daily deposits in accordance with company policies.
- Assist walk-in patients and visitors.
- Conduct periodic cleaning/disinfection of the lobby area.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, redirect calls, and assist callers with inquiries.
- Maintain and manage medical records, including scanning, filing, and preparing for scheduled visits.
- Process requests for medical records release and maintain logs.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication and customer service skills (in-person and via phone).
- Working knowledge of general office procedures.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience, including data entry.
- Interviews: Conducted via video.
- Training: 2 weeks provided.
- Health Screenings Required: Proof of or completion of TB, MMR, Hep B vaccinations. Candidates will also be fitted for an N95 mask upon hire.
