Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Location: Dodge City, Kansas

Start Date: May 19, 2025

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week). Pre-assigned to St. Catherine - Dodge City; floating within Zone 4 for critical needs.

Compensation

• Hourly Pay: $34.00 ($1,224.00/week)
• Housing Stipend: $770.00
• Meals & Incidentals: $476.00
• Gross Pay (Weekly): $2,470.00
  
  

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs, ensuring optimal outcomes through individualized care plans.
• Implement and evaluate nursing care collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, adhering to nursing standards.
• Competently perform therapeutic interventions (e.g., IVs, wound care, medication administration, specimen collection).
• Advocate for patient health, safety, and rights while delivering compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
• Provide patient/family education, tailored to learning needs, readiness, and preferences.
• Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel in compliance with state nursing regulations and hospital policies.
• Actively participate in quality improvement and evidence-based research initiatives.
• Maintain professional competency through continuing education and mentorship of new staff or nursing students.
• Uphold ethical and legal nursing standards, promoting accountability and professional development.
  
  

Requirements:

• Education:
• Associate Degree in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Certifications:
• Active RN License (State or NLC-participating state).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
