What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Learning Engineer position at The Judge Group?
My client is a large and very stable company in the financial services industry who are looking to add a well-rounded ML Engineer to their team! In this role, you will be working on generative AI development, model deployment, data management, and ongoing research on AI/ML capabilities and trends. The right candidate must come from a financial services background.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement AI solutions (e.g., RAG, Agentic Workflows) with LLM fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
- Evaluate and optimize LLM performance to meet business goals.
- Integrate AI solutions into existing workflows with cross-functional teams.
- Design and deploy machine learning models to enhance product features and scalability.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess data for model training and evaluation.
- Apply data augmentation and manage data pipelines for optimal performance.
- Stay current on AI/ML trends and conduct research for innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with teams to align AI/ML initiatives with business objectives.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Financial services industry experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- 6 years of experience in Machine Learning and Data Science.
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods, data structures, and algorithms.
- Expertise in Python and ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying AI solutions.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau).
- Proven experience deploying machine learning models in production.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for learning and staying current with AI advancements.
