Job Title: Medical Assistant Job Type: Contract to Hire Location: Corpus, Christi, TX

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. This position involves working closely with physicians and adhering to company standards and policies to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will exhibit professionalism, respect patient confidentiality, and maintain high standards of infection control.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant’s practice, including:
• Operating diagnostic equipment (no interpretation of tests)
• Administering non-intravenous medication
• Performing simple specimen collections using noninvasive techniques
• Collecting blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary methods
• Conducting quality control checks on equipment
• Room patients according to established policies and procedures, preparing them for examinations.
• Record patient care documentation in medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians and company standards.
• Organize, clean, and stock exam and treatment rooms; sterilize instruments as required.
• Practice standard infection control precautions.
• Conduct telephone and in-person screenings limited to information intake without requiring clinical judgment.
• Follow Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO) and support related directives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Certification: Certified Medical Assistant
• BLS/CPR Certification
  
  

Additional Details

• Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Dress Code: Dark solid color scrubs
