Our client is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Baton Rouge, LA area!
Work hours:
830am-5pm day shifts and 9:30am-6:00PM
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Applies knowledge/skills to complex activities.
- Demonstrates a depth and breadth of knowledge/skills in own area and is often able to apply these outside of own function.
- Often acts as a technical resource to others in own function.
- Anticipates customer needs and proactively identifies solutions.
- Solves complex problems on own; proactively identifies new solutions to problems.
- Plans, prioritizes, organizes, and completes work to meet established objectives.
- Acts as a facilitator to resolve conflicts on team; seen as key team member on project teams spanning more than own function.
- Training of new and current staff in all current and new procedures as they are implemented, as well as proper practices such as aseptic technique, proper garbing and gowning, and all guidelines according to USP 797.
- Manages workflow process within sterile complex ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner and accurately according to policy and procedure within sterile complex.
- Assesses daily cleaning and aseptic techniques of each compounding technician and addresses any observations noted.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED OR 4 years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Louisiana
- Minimum of 3 years of consistent sterile compounding experience with knowledge in diverse types of manipulations such as TPNs and ACDs (1 Technician position for sterile compounding)
- 1 year of experience with computers and MS Office products
