Description: Judge Healthcare is seeking a Physician for a REMOTE Physician Reviewer with one of our biggest clients!
Type: Contract to hire
Hours: Full Time 40 hours/week- 8 hours five days a week between 6-am-7pm MST. Some weekends included
Location: REMOTE!
Pay rate: $100-105/hr based on experience
Summary: Our Physicians utilize their clinical knowledge to provide an evidence-based approach to reviews, adjudicating requests for commercial and Medicare D medications. Conducting peer reviews allows a physician to provide an informed, objective voice to the review of coverage decisions. Our reviews often address controversial, cutting-edge treatment modalities, thereby allowing our physicians to stay abreast of emerging technologies.

Qualifications (Skills, Experience, Educational Requirements)
- Current/active Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine only, by a medical specialty board approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Skilled ability to navigate through several computer applications, simultaneously, working on 3 monitors, is required to complete the reviews. Top quality, high-speed cable (not satellite) internet connection is required.
- Current, unrestricted, unencumbered medical license as required for clinical practice is REQUIRED.
- Minimum of five years’ full-time equivalent experience, providing recent direct clinical care to patients.
- Understanding that reviews are based on clinical appropriateness that follow insurance plan criteria.
- Prior experience administering utilization management and peer review programs is highly preferred. Must be able to sit at a desk for 8 to 10 hours per day, and efficiently utilize a computer, telephone and other general office equipment.
