Location: Hoboken, NJ

Salary: $60,000.00 USD Annually - $70,000.00 USD Annually

Description

Our client is currently seeking a Quality Control Specialist for their facility near Hoboken, New Jersey.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement food safety programs (e.g., HACCP, allergen control, BRCGs).
• Conduct inspections of materials, processes, and products to meet GFSI standards.
• Maintain records of quality checks, test results, and corrective actions.
• Ensure documentation aligns with GFSI standards for audits.
• Educate employees on GMP, food safety, and SQF standards.
• Collect product samples for lab testing.
• Participate in audits and identify process improvements.
• Lead traceability investigations for quality issues.
• Manage supplier evaluations to meet quality standards.
• Train staff on food safety, GFSI standards, and quality protocols.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in food environments; GFSI experience preferred.
• Knowledge of QMS and industry standards.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Capable of determining and executing corrective actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Preferred: 5 years’ experience in food quality assurance, HACCP, and food safety plans.
• Strong communication and team leadership in fast-paced settings.
