Responsibilities
- Project work, implementations, and hand-offs
- System documentation and device configurations
- System maintenance and life cycles
- Operational support for network systems and escalations
- Some travel between branch and office locations for projects
- 7 years of hands-on experience with Cisco network infrastructure
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
- Advanced understanding of Cisco ISR Routers, Catalyst Switches, Nexus Switches, Cisco Firewalls, and Palo Alto Firewalls
- Strong knowledge of network and security concepts (BGP, MP BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, IPsec, MACsec, VPN, 802.1x)
- Proficiency with operating systems like Windows and Linux
- Familiarity with network tools and applications (SSH, SNMP, SMTP, NetFlow, PKI, Cisco DNA, Cisco DCNM/NDFC, ASDM, FMC, Panorama)
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to learn and work with next-generation firewalls, network security technologies, load balancers, and network monitoring tools
- Understanding of network and security monitoring tools to ensure the availability and integrity of network communications and systems
