Position Overview
As a Sr. Process Engineer specializing in Ethanol, you will act as a subject-matter expert for our client's Ethanol or Chemical processing facility clients and internal design teams. This role involves providing technical expertise, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject-matter expert and primary point of contact for clients in your area of expertise.
- Prepare technical reports, procurement specifications, and design sketches.
- Review equipment vendors' technical proposals and provide bid tab comparisons and recommendations.
- Research, understand, and convey client needs to optimize processes and implement upgrades.
- Facilitate internal and external coordination meetings with clients and equipment suppliers.
- Communicate with clients, equipment vendors, controls installers, and other stakeholders regarding process equipment design, installation, and operation.
- Manage assigned budgets and prepare requests for additional services as needed.
- Proactively manage work schedules and communicate potential delays to the project manager.
- Keep the Project Manager and Principal-In-Charge informed of work progress, challenges, and successes.
- Mentor and train engineers and technical staff.
- Demonstrate leadership with excellent engineering analysis and judgment, providing appropriate results and responsiveness to clients.
- Perform site visits as requested.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology.
- 8 years of experience in the design and construction of ethanol facilities and processes.
- Experience with ethanol process equipment and operations.
