Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our medical team. This role involves using advanced imaging equipment to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, providing critical insights to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and proficient in various ultrasound techniques.

Hours: Rotating Shifts (varied 10 hour shifts, 40 hours weekly)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of internal organs, blood flow, and soft tissues.
• Patient Interaction: Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
• Image Analysis: Evaluate ultrasound images for clarity and accuracy to ensure proper diagnosis. Collaborate with physicians to interpret results.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Medical Records: Document and maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results and procedural details.
• Specialized Procedures: Conduct specialized imaging, such as obstetric, abdominal, vascular, or musculoskeletal sonography, depending on departmental needs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Must be highly proficient in breast ultrasounds and biopsies
• Certifications: Active credentials from a recognized certifying body, such as the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
• Experience: Previous experience in ultrasound imaging (preferred)
  
  

Skills:

• Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and software.
