What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Manager position at The Juicy Crab?
We have an exciting opportunity at our Fort Lauderdale, FL location. The Juice Crab will be opening new stores in Southeast region in 2021, we are looking for someone who is flexible to relocate to new store locations in other states when needs rise.
The General Manager supports the Managing Partner and restaurant staff in all aspects of store operations. Provide guidance to Managers, Hourly Supervisors and Team Members in operations including profitability, expense control, inventory control, buying, labor and regulatory compliance and special projects as assigned.
This position pays *Up to 100K Benefits!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Managing Partner in monitoring all areas of restaurant operations to ensure safety, quality of food and customer service.
- Meets restaurant financial objectives by developing financing; establishing banking relationships; preparing strategic and annual forecasts and budgets; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions; establishing and monitoring financial controls; developing and implementing strategies to increase average meal checks.
- Controls purchases and inventory by meeting with account manager; negotiating prices and contracts; developing preferred supplier lists; reviewing and evaluating usage reports; analyzing variances; taking corrective actions.
- Maintains customer satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; building relationships with preferred patrons.
- Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
- Fiscal Responsibility – ordering inventory and knowing your impact to the P&L
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years as a General Manager in a full-service or casual dining restaurant
- Ensures the highest level of Guest Service and knowledge of building community relationships
- Experienced in growing a team and developing others while creating team cohesion.
- Hands-on LEADER that leads people and doesn’t manage people.
- Confidence and experience at controlling costs and can speak to them (food, labor, liquor)
