Position: Operations Supervisor

Location: 200 Industrial Blvd. Suite 3 - Toano, VA 23168

Schedule: Day Shift, M-F, Occasional Saturdays

Pay: $50,000/year

As the Operations Supervisor at The Junkluggers of Williamsburg, you will lead our field team and assure continuity of day-to-day operations.

The Junkluggers of Williamsburg offers a “green” alternative to traditional junk removal. We work with homeowners, businesses, realtors, property managers, and professional organizers throughout our area to haul away unwanted items. Our goal is to eliminate reusable waste from landfills by prioritizing the donation and recycling of as many items as possible before disposing of anything. To achieve this, we’ve partnered with organizations such as Hospice House, Heritage Humane Society, Tyler’s Ride, and other non-profits. As our business continues to grow, we are particularly interested in positive, self-motivated individuals with a high who take pride in their work and are always willing to provide our clients with WOW! service.

What You’ll Do as the Operations Supervisor:

• Schedule job estimates/pick-ups with a focus on efficiency and organization
• Train new members of the field team (“luggers”) to meet high standards of excellence
• Supervise and support current luggers
• Oversee donation, recycling, and waste management processes
• Set an example for professionalism and respect towards clients and colleagues
• Clarify any confusion and address concerns on the part of the public or staff
• Communicate with potential and current clients utilizing customer service and problem-solving skills
• Treat all client property and belongings with the utmost care and sensitivity.

What We’re Looking for in the Operations Supervisor:

• A VALID and CLEAN driver’s license (REQUIRED)
• Professional experience leading a team
• Professional experience with scheduling, time management, and logistics
• Professional experience in a customer/public service setting
• A welcoming and friendly demeanor and a positive outlook
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully verbally and in writing
• A desire play a valuable role in the continuous improvement and growth of the company
• An eye for details, methods of organization, and priority management
• A talent for multi-tasking
• Ability to safely lift and load very heavy items and to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions
