We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with extensive experience in Windows Server administration, VMware, and a hybrid infrastructure environment that spans on-premises, AWS, and Azure cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level systems to ensure maximum uptime, security, and performance.
< class="" data-start="659" data-end="687">Responsibilities:Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022) including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related services.
Deploy, configure, and administer VMware infrastructure, including vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual networks.
Design, implement, and manage hybrid environments utilizing AWS, Azure, and on-premises resources.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations to ensure high availability and efficiency.
Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management, patch management, and backup strategies.
Collaborate with development, security, and network teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems and technologies.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, processes, and procedures.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
10 years of overall Windows Server administration experience to include some experience with 2016, 2019, and/or 2022.
Strong expertise in VMware technologies, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtual networking.
Experience with cloud platforms: AWS and Azure, including EC2, S3, Azure VMs, Azure AD, and related services.
Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
Knowledge of security best practices and technologies, including IAM, firewalls, and patch management.
Proven experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Certifications such as VMware VCP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Familiarity with Linux systems administration.
