Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in academic advising and classroom management, with the ability to engage students in a variety of subjects, including Trigonometry, Biochemistry, and Scientific Research. This role requires effective behavior management skills and the ability to support students through standardized testing and academic challenges.
All classes have a maximum of 6 students and include support from a teacher's aide. All students have an IEP.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Provide academic advising to students, guiding them in their educational paths and helping them set achievable goals.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress and understanding.
- Facilitate discussions that encourage critical thinking, particularly in subjects such as Trigonometry and Biochemistry.
- Proofread and review student work, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Dissect complex topics into manageable lessons for better student comprehension.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field; teaching certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of subject matter including Trigonometry, Biochemistry, and Scientific Research.
- Proven experience in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Familiarity with academic advising principles and standardized testing procedures.
- Ability to proofread academic materials for clarity and accuracy.
