Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the diverse needs of students. This role is essential in shaping young minds and encouraging their growth through engaging and effective teaching practices. All classes have at most 6 students, along with a teacher and teacher's aide.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse learning styles of students.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes student engagement, participation, and collaboration.
- Assess student progress regularly through various methods, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best educational outcomes for all students.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities, including those requiring specialized instruction in areas such as deaf education or physical education.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior while ensuring compliance with child welfare policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience working with children in various settings, including preschool environments or library services.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and instructional strategies tailored for children with disabilities or special needs.
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure clarity and accuracy in educational materials.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
