Job Summary: The assistant project manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the organization’s research, development, and product implementation efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the submittal process as needed for projects including the request of submittals from suppliers and vendors, review of all submittals, forwarding them to the General Contractor, and returning to suppliers and vendors promptly
- Maintain a submittal log and submittal schedule and coordinate deliveries with the Superintendents as needed.
- Review addenda, and any other plan revisions, distribute to the field, and communicate as needed with the Superintendents, General Contractors, or PM.
- Provide additional support as needed including estimating and scheduling.
- Evaluate potential problems and technical difficulties and develop solutions.
- Coordinate with team members to keep workflow.
- Manage project-related documentation, employee and project hours, deliveries associated with specific projects, locate tickets, etc.
- Review/direct all project correspondence, meeting minutes, and emails.
- Communicate with clients, owners, and vendors to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Various office tasks related to construction estimating on an as-needed basis.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrate extensive plan reading in civil site development and comprehensive skills as well as concrete construction processes.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the projects being developed.
- Proficient with Bluebeam/Revu, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, or related software
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
- Software: Excel ®, Word ®, Project ®, Bluebeam/Revu, PlanSwift, Procore, Autodesk/PlanGrid, Adobe, AutoCAD.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
