Position Summary – Motor Grader Operator – EXPERIENCED (MUST BE ABLE TO CUT SUBGRADE AND FINISH BASE MATERIAL)
Operates motor grader to spread and level dirt, gravel, and road base, to grade specifications in construction and maintenance of earthwork and road building.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate grader to spread and level dirt or road base to grade specifications in construction and maintenance of roads.
- Shape and finish shoulders and slopes.
- May perform fine or rough grading.
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
- Monitor operations to ensure that safety standards are met.
- Must have the initiative, ability, and willingness to perform and assist with other job positions for job completion as requested.
- Supervision of crew personnel
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2 or more years of Motor Grader Operator experience.
- Must demonstrate the ability to operate the motor grader, must demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policy and safety standards.
- Effective communication with other operators, foremen, and truck drivers.
- Must have reliable transportation and have the ability to work Monday through Saturday.
- Must be willing to drive yourself to the different jobsites within a 50-mile radius of our office or more.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years' verifiable experience as a finish grade operator
- Must pass a drug screen
