Job Summary
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in organizing, planning, and managing complex projects related to research, development, and product implementation. You’ll work closely with our project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Submittal Management: Coordinate and manage the submittal process, including requesting, reviewing, and forwarding submittals to suppliers, vendors, and the General Contractor. Ensure timely return of all submittals.
- Documentation & Scheduling: Maintain submittal logs and schedules, and coordinate delivery timelines with Superintendents.
- Communication & Distribution: Review addenda, plan revisions, and distribute them to the field. Communicate effectively with Superintendents, General Contractors, and Project Managers.
- Project Support: Provide additional project support as needed, including estimating and scheduling tasks.
- Problem Solving: Evaluate potential project issues and technical challenges, proposing solutions where necessary.
- Documentation Management: Manage project documentation, including employee and project hours, delivery schedules, locate tickets, and more.
- Project Correspondence: Review and direct all project-related communication, including meeting minutes, emails, and updates.
- Client & Vendor Interaction: Communicate with clients, owners, and vendors to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Additional Tasks: Assist with various office tasks related to construction estimating as needed.
Job Requirements
- Solid understanding of civil site development plans, concrete construction processes, and related fields.
- Ability to quickly learn the specifics of ongoing projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Bluebeam/Revu, and related software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with construction software such as PlanSwift, Procore, Autodesk/PlanGrid, Adobe, and AutoCAD is a plus.
