The Kearney Companies is a growing and dynamic construction company committed to attracting top talent. The Human Resources Manager role is a pivotal role in building a foundation for sustainability. This position is responsible for the overall management and administration of all areas of Human Resources, including payroll, recruiting and onboarding, employee conflict resolution, as well as training and development of the HR team.
Main Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding: Track personnel numbers and positions so the company knows what positions are needed. Create clear, specific job descriptions. Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent. Source talent by posting to job boards, reaching out on social media, etc. Manage the entire recruitment life cycle, partnering with hiring managers to define staffing needs and create detailed job descriptions. Facilitate a positive onboarding experience by conducting new hire orientations. Communicating with candidates, Overseeing the interview process, extending job offers and sending out letters of rejection
Employee Relations: Manage employee relations by acting as the main resource for resolving workplace issues. This includes addressing conflicts, disciplinary matters, and performance concerns through investigation, guidance, and fair resolution. Additionally, promote a positive and engaged work environment through effective communication. Assist with terminations when necessary.
Payroll & Benefits Administration: Oversight of Payroll Processing and system implementations. Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans. Communicate benefits information to employees and ensure accurate enrollment and administration.
Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Identify training needs and source appropriate training resources. Collaborate with managers to support employee development. Mentor and elevate all employees within the HR department.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, staying up to date with legal changes, and integrating these changes into HR practices and policies. Maintain accurate employee records and documentation. Assist with WC process
Policy Development: Develop and update HR policies and procedures that support our purpose to reflect best practices and legal requirements. Communicate policies to employees and ensure consistent application.

Pay: $96,130.00 - $102,812.00 per year
