Financial Controller

A rapidly growing and highly profitable company in the logistics and factoring industry is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its financial strategy and operations. The Financial Controller will serve as a key financial leader, overseeing the accounting function, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and business strategy. This role is critical to ensuring financial integrity, optimizing margins, and supporting the company’s aggressive growth goals.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the ideal candidate will have a blend of strategic financial leadership and hands-on accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO by providing financial insights and recommendations for business growth.
• Develop and implement financial models, forecasts, and KPIs to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
• Analyze company margins and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
• Oversee cash flow management, working capital strategies, and financial risk assessment.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
• Manage financial audits, tax compliance, and internal controls.
• Supervise the accounting team, providing leadership and professional development.
• Work closely with operations, sales, and leadership teams to align financial strategy with business objectives.
• Implement and improve financial systems, processes, and controls to support a high-growth environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous finance leadership experience: CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or equivalent experience.
• Logistics, transportation, freight, or factoring industry experience preferred.
• Strategic & hands on approach - ability to lead high-level financial strategy while also diving into details.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving company with aggressive expansion plans.
• CPA not required, but a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is preferred.
