Job purpose :
The Kennedy Collective is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Behavior Technicians to join our team in providing center-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. The Behavior Technician will work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to deliver individualized treatment plans designed to enhance the social, communication, and adaptive skills of individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide 1 : 1 Applied Behavior Analysis therapy with individuals.
Follow the prescribed Treatment and Behavior Support Plan.
Ensure that all Kennedy Collective, State, and Insurance regulations, and policies are adhered to.
Implement individualized ABA treatment plans in a center-based setting as directed by the BCBA.
Collect and record accurate data on client behavior and progress during sessions.
Apply positive reinforcement and other behavior modification techniques to encourage desirable behaviors.
Assist in developing new programs and strategies to address challenging behaviors.
Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive environment for clients during sessions.
Provide regular updates and feedback to the supervising BCBA regarding client progress.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision as required.
Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by The Kennedy Collective.
Record therapy notes for each session using Therap.
Ensure all training courses are current.
Provide professional and timely communication with co-workers, supervisor, family members and guardians
and other team members.
Ensure the protection of the individual’s rights and safety by following HIPAA regulations, ensuring privacy, and
reporting any type of abuse or neglect.
Intervene in emergencies and behavioral situations as needed.
Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a behavioral health field, behavior analysis or related field, plus one year of full-time equivalent experience working with children with ASD; or an associates degree from an accredited university in a behavioral health field, behavior analysis or related field plus two years of experience working with children with ASD.
18 hours of continuing education in ASD services in the last three years.
Valid driver’s license.

Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team using good judgment and a sense of initiative.
Work a flexible schedule that may include mornings and evenings.
Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office and the Internet.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Have the physical endurance to use PMT holds.
Have the physical endurance to be able to lift and transfer individuals as assigned.
Ability to provide personal care which may include toileting, bathing, feeding, lifting, and transferring an individual.
