The System Administrator role is responsible for effectively installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining systems hardware, software, and services, including related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation while ensuring systems hardware and software adhere to organizational standards.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Work with the IT Team to install new and / or upgrade existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, storage, etc., by standards and operational requirements.
Perform technical and design analysis for needs / benefit strategies.
Develop and maintain documentation for installation and configuration procedures.
Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for systems administration.
Perform daily system monitoring, ensuring the availability of all hardware and application resources.
Manage data backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and data are successfully backed up and / or archived in the appropriate media and / or facility.
Apply OS and application patches on a routine basis.
Execute performance reporting to support capacity planning.
Review new applications in a testing environment to determine if these are beneficial and cost-effective to the company.
Assist in maintaining all critical company systems including financial and CRM applications.
Provide support as required to assist employees with technical issues.
Perform miscellaneous duties as requested to keep daily business activities running efficiently.
Ability to work occasionally beyond regular working hours to perform system maintenance during off-peak times.
Abilities, Skills, Educational Requirements :
Computer Science Certification and / or five years of equivalent work experience
Working knowledge of network, Windows 10, and Microsoft Server (2019) Operating Systems
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft O365 Administration
Proficient knowledge of Active Directory Administration
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Administration
Proficient knowledge of VMware Administration
Proficient knowledge of IT Security and Systems Principles
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer support
Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
Physically able to lift fifty pounds for the occasional server and / or systems migration projects
Other Requirements :
Ability to pass a pre-employment screening.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required. No visa sponsorship will be provided.

Familiarity with website administration and content creation is a plus
