Part-Time Sports Reporter

Southern Newspapers has an immediate need for a sports reporter to help our newsroom in the publication of The Kerrville Daily Times newspaper, as well as our monthly Hill Country Culture Magazine and other special editions. If you're ready to make an impact in our newsroom, we want to hear from you!

Sports Reporter qualifications and skills:

• Have a degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field
• Be an enthusiastic self-starter.
• Possess a strong command of grammar, editing, and use of AP Style.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Be reliable, accurate, and thorough in their reporting and page design.
• Be able to multitask efficiently, especially under deadlines.
• Be organized and extremely detail oriented.
• Be comfortable working between print and digital platforms, including social media, photo galleries, and video.
