Role Description:
The King's Accountant (TKA) is seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Administrative Assistant with an accounting focus to join our team in Marysville, CA. The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining the day-to-day administrative functions behind our Accounting Services Team (AST). Responsibilities range from front-desk reception and administrative duties (like scanning and maintaining electronic files) to more complex tasks such as maintaining the client database and assisting with data entry in QuickBooks Online (QBO) for the AST to review. This is listed as a Full-Time (Mon-Fri) position, generally between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Pay is projected to be between $20-$30 per hour, based on a candidate’s unique qualifications.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Administrative Support: Scan, sort, and upload digital records to electronic databases
- Data Entry Support: Enter basic financial data into QBO for review by AST
- Front Desk Reception: Welcome & direct clients in a friendly, professional manner
- Maintain CRM Database: Ensure client data is up to date (contact info, tasks, files, etc)
Required Qualifications & Skills:
While this is primarily an administrative support role, there will be a heavy emphasis on data-entry tasks directly related to accounting tasks performed by the AST. To that end, at least ONE of the following TWO MUST be possessed by the candidate:
1. Technical Accounting Experience (degree** in Accounting, accounting work experience, etc), OR
2. Strong, technical experience with QuickBooks Online (MUST be QBO version)
Required Qualifications & Skills (continued):
- Strong proficiency in English (particularly with accounting terminology) with excellent verbal and written communication skills essential for effective client interaction & internal communication.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Capable of prioritizing & switching tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with cloud-based technology (scanning documents, standard office software, etc)
- Inherent curiosity, adaptability to change, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a collaborative environment. We value individuals who are eager to learn, can adjust to evolving environments, and take initiative to address challenges creatively and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in office management or administrative role.
- Previous experience in an accounting environment.
- Experience in a customer service role, with a track record of providing exceptional client service.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in an accounting-type role, demonstrating a track record of accurate and efficient financial record-keeping.
Additional Considerations
- This position is listed as Full-Time. A temporarily Part-Time position may be considered for the right candidate who possesses an efficiency factor to accomplish the required tasks within a 20-30 hour week. The long-term goal would be to transition to a Full-Time position within four months (by the end of June 2025).
