About the Role:
As Chef de Cuisine, you will be at the heart of our culinary vision, working closely with Executive Chef & Co-Owner Ashwin Vilkhu to help execute a dynamic menu that reflects both innovation and authenticity. You will lead the kitchen team with precision, creativity, and unwavering commitment to quality, maintaining the high standards synonymous with the Saffron NOLA name.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, plan, and execute a seasonal, modern Asian menu that aligns with The Kingsway’s vision
• Lead, train, and mentor the culinary team, fostering growth and consistency
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, quality control, and food safety
• Collaborate with ownership and the front-of-house team to ensure cohesive service and presentation
• Maintain budgetary and cost control while upholding the highest standards of food quality and consistency
• Innovate with new dishes and techniques while honoring the spirit of Asian culinary traditions
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef in a high-caliber, fine dining restaurant
• Deep understanding of modern Asian cuisine, techniques, and flavor profiles
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and train a talented kitchen team
• Demonstrated creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence
• Experience managing food costs, inventory, and kitchen operations efficiently
