Description
The Building Operator is responsible for ensuring that daily custodial, event, and equipment maintenance needs are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that building systems are operating properly, building spaces are clean and safe, and that customer requests are completed in a timely manner
- Responsible for general maintenance including cleaning, painting, and replacing light bulbs for assigned buildings
- Operates fire alarm system, HVAC, and other building systems
- Assists in setting up for events
- Maintains custodial supply inventory
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years experience as a building maintenance technician preferred including routine maintenance, the ability to operate tools/equipment for building maintenance, and routine commercial building custodial tasks
- Additional specific skills required include carpentry, plumbing, minor construction, and electrical maintenance
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime hours.
- Valid Texas Driver’s license and be able to safely operate motor vehicles.
- Must be able to work outdoors, operate equipment and be able to lift up to 50 lbs
