Position Overview
As an Event Intern, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of events, contributing to a positive and memorable experience for our guests. You will gain hands-on experience in event management, customer service, and hospitality within a dynamic and innovative environment. - Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Space Setup and Breakdown:
- Take an active role in setting up event spaces, arranging tables, chairs, decor, and audio/visual equipment.
- Ensure the efficient breakdown and restoration of event spaces post-event.
- Guest Interaction and Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout the duration of events.
- Assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere and address guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism.
- Event Coordination:
- Contribute to event coordination by monitoring guest lists, directing attendees to their seats, and collaborating with vendors.
- Play a key role in ensuring a smooth flow of activities during events.
- Venue Maintenance:
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in event spaces.
- Ensure that event spaces are consistently prepared and ready for guests.
- Versatile Event Support:
- Provide support for various event-related tasks as needed, including but not limited to food service, bartending, and cleaning.
- Adaptability is key to assisting with diverse aspects of event execution.
- Video Content Management:
- Download and organize video content to be sent to the editing team, contributing to the post-event production process.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of equipment.
- Ensure strict compliance with venue policies to guarantee a secure and enjoyable event environment.

*KINN Event Interns are given the first opportunity to work a Horizon Studio Event as Event Staff. Horizon Studio events are external events that client’s book directly with Horizon House. Intern has the option to be hired as an Independent Contractor to work these events at $20/hr.
