What are the responsibilities and job description for the French Instructor position at The Kiski School?
Founded in 1888 Kiski is one of the most established small boarding schools in Pennsylvania and in the United States. Home to 200 students, from around the country and around the world, Kiski is a dynamic, diverse, and vibrant community that is fully committed to living out its mission of preparing students for success in college and in life. Kiski offers an academically rigorous curriculum that includes advanced and honors courses, 12 varsity sports, and a community in which every students thrives as a result of innovative teaching, a caring faculty, and opportunities for self-discovery. Kiski's beautiful, 350-acre campus is in the charming small town of Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, only 30 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh. Kiski seeks a full-time French teacher to begin in the 25-26 academic year. This position will involve teaching at least 3 sections of French, possibly 4. The ideal candidate would have the ability to teach an additonal subject like Spanish 1, ESL, English, or history and will have experience working with high school students, and teaching French, and will possess a bachelor’s degree or higher. This member of the faculty will be someone who finds joy from being involved in many aspects of life in a vibrant boarding school community and will contribute to school life beyond the classroom by also leading or assisting with at least one of the school’s co-curricular or athletic offerings, and by being part of a dormitory supervisory team which requires occasional weeknight and weekend duties. On campus housing will be provided.
