The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and reconciling grants and monthly accounts. This role actively supports the Director of Accounting, contributes to financial reporting, and is a key participant in The Kitchen Inc.’s Finance Committee and management team. The position combines transactional processing with analytical and organizational responsibilities to ensure financial integrity and compliance.

Major Areas of Responsibility
- Ensure compliance with coding and approval processes for accounts payable and receivable.
- Process and accurately record financial transactions.
- Reconcile grants and accounts on a monthly basis.
- Generate financial reports and support grant reconciliation efforts.
- Maintain organized financial records and files.
- Collaborate with the Finance Committee and management team.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, preferably in accounting, finance, or other related area.
- OR four to five years of verifiable bookkeeping experience and/or training
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working with accounting software
