Role Overview
Reporting to the Innovation Fellowship Program Manager, the Student Success Specialist is responsible for the persistence and success of each student at TKH. The Student Success Specialist supports students' recruitment experience, onboarding, persistence, and graduation. Their central focus is coaching students around self-management skills and connecting them with supportive services and resources to remove barriers. They do this through case management meetings with students to review progress toward program completion and professional and personal goals. They communicate expectations, course schedules, and student assignments throughout the program. They also collect and report student persistence and performance data to inform the team about student needs for particular interventions and / or further support.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
Program Cultivation & Student Engagement (40%)
- Assist in recruitment efforts for assigned programs, including the interviewing and selection process for prospective students.
- Organize and execute community engagement events, workshops, and seminars-such as orientations, graduations, and personal and professional growth activities-designed to foster a sense of belonging, enhance student connectivity, and improve retention across all locations.
- Organize and facilitate workshops or training sessions that address common barriers to success, equipping students with the tools and strategies needed to thrive.
- Support the editing and maintenance of program-related documents, including handbooks, calendars, engagement materials, policies, and procedures to enhance student engagement and program success.
- Serve as a point of contact for students, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on program services and community engagement opportunities.
- Identify and showcase impactful student success stories to effectively promote TKH programs to stakeholders and the broader community.

Hybrid Work at TKH
All full-time staff are expected to come into a TKH office or the field (community and industry events, including conferences or travel for work) 1-2 days per week, and the Leadership Team will be encouraged to come into a TKH office at least two times per week. There will be one consistent team day a week that will vary by team. Please note that there are some roles that may require being on-site more based on the job responsibilities.
In addition to the 1 team day, there will be weeks when the expectation is 2 days / week based on required meetings. These may include all staff meetings, department stepbacks, professional development, retreats, events, or other purposeful reasons, as requested by your supervisor or team lead.
