Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Aloha POS system or OpenTable.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service areas, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas for special events or busy shifts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in guest services or customer service roles within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for processing payments.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Experience using restaurant management software such as Aloha POS or OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing excellent service.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
