SUMMARY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and administer the organization’s benefit processes and procedures that support the Company Benefit Plans & Policies. This includes but is not limited to eligibility analysis, communication, cost forecasting, budgeting, oversight for proper financial plan reconciliation, and reporting.
- Manage the benefit and office administration team. Provide mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Establish productive vendor and broker relationships to maximize benefit offerings, cost and services. Ensure optimum performance from all external resources within the full benefit program.
- Oversee benefits enrollment and eligibility including but not limited to communicating entitlements, auditing enrollments, setting up the HRIS system to manage enrollment administration.
- Responsible for communicating benefit offerings, policies, and entitlements including orientation, manager workshops, training in the HRIS platform, and email/print communication campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory needs including but not limited to: Company Policy, ERISA, COBRA, Workers’ Compensation, ACA, FMLA, and ADA, by staying up to date on regulatory changes to ensure proper administration and documentation.
- Collaborate with human resource managers and third-party administrators to determine legally compliant accommodations when applicable and ensure compliance with eligibility determination, tracking, documentation, and issuing notifications in a timely manner. Provide HR team with reporting and trends to minimize risk and cost.
- Manage all aspects of annual open enrollment of benefits including but not limited to: Health, Dental, Vision, LTD, Supplemental LTD, Life and Supplemental Life, as well as 401k enrollments and communications throughout the year.
- Oversee third party administration of Leave of Absence Request/Response process and Workers’ Compensation reporting and analysis.
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by Confidentiality and Privacy Standards, in compliance with Mass Regulations on Personal Identity Regulations and HIPAA.
- Manage and schedule all employee engagement initiatives and events including survey deployment and analysis.
- Lead communication efforts to market entitlements to the internal client through education sessions, newsletters, employee portal, and formal written communications.
- Ensure exemplary customer service to drive employee satisfaction and Human Resource support.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.
- This position supervises a Benefits Specialist, HR Shared Services team (3), and a Receptionist .
- 4-8 years of related finance or benefits/human resource experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required with a preference for degrees in HR, healthcare analytics, or public health; Master’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to labor, benefits, and compensation is encouraged, but not required
- Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills
- Computer and Microsoft Excel proficiency required
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment
- The employee frequently is required to talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
