DESCRIPTION : The mission of the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS) is to win the hearts and minds of non-Jews and Jews through powerful positive messaging and partnerships, motivating and equipping them to be defenders of and upstanders for Jews. FCAS focuses on spreading the Blue Square and associated programs to spur action by people of all backgrounds. Working with a network of partners, FCAS leverages unique monitoring technology to drive effective rapid response to Jewish hate and all hate, in addition to proactive programs that galvanize popular support for the Jewish community.
SUMMARY : The Development Principal will be responsible for executing a major gifts strategy (5-6 figure gifts) to support the mass media campaign and programs created by the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS), in partnership with the Chief Philanthropy Officer. This role will deepen existing donor relationships and develop strategies for engaging prospective donors, within a small and growing team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead, grow and enhance FCAS fundraising efforts in collaboration and coordination with the Chief Philanthropy Officer from a best-practices, donor-centric orientation in a comprehensive campaign environment while maintaining a portfolio of at least 40 5-6 figure rated prospects.
2. Build and sustain trusted relationships with existing major donors in portfolio and motivate them to increase their investment in our mission to address Jewish hate, at scale.
3. Identify, directly engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward new 5-6 figure donors and prospects.
4. Lead planning, prospecting and follow up for gatherings hosted by existing donors, in an effort to expand the network of major gifts. Follow up on inquiries regarding significant gifts to FCAS.
5. Meet quarterly and annual retention, upgrade and acquisition goals.
6. Proactively identify, develop, and deliver engagement opportunities to donors to maximize their financial and non-financial support.
7. Educate and inform donors on ways to support FCAS in ways that are aligned with their philanthropic goals.
8. Research, develop, and write funding proposals, appeal letters, and grant reports.
9. Effectively manage and engage prospects and donors through in-person visits, correspondence, and electronic and telephone communications.
10. Represent FCAS at fundraising events to engage new prospective donors and strengthen donor engagement.
11. Maintain and update Salesforce CRM to ensure the most accurate and timely information is captured.
12. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
13. Help develop systems and implement best practices, with an eye towards scalability.
14. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.
