In this role, you'll manage cash receipts, tackle past due invoices, and resolve deductions, all while providing essential administrative support. This position is responsible for processing incoming cash receipts, collecting on past due invoices and resolution of deductions for all divisions. The portfolio has straightforward accounts with standard deductions to manage. In addition, this role provides administrative support duties as assigned for the department. The successful execution of these responsibilities will result in the overall effectiveness of the Accounts Receivable Department. The Krusteaz Company policies are to be adhered to at all times.

Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.

  • Process daily wire and lockbox deposits for the department.
  • Initiate the daily deduction batch job.
  • Process daily cash receipts for the portfolio of accounts assigned to manage.
  • Process daily cash receipts for the Food Service accounts assigned to Exceedra.
  • Address and resolve open deduction balances in a timely manner. Cross functional collaboration with Sales and/or the external broker is required at times.
  • Monitor assigned Accounts Receivable portfolio and resolve past due items timely while maintaining customer goodwill.
  • Update ‘Customer Profiles’ for assigned accounts.
  • Assists with reporting as required including month-end reports.
  • Orders department supplies as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School education or equivalent with college-level business/accounting classes preferred.
  • Two years general clerical support in an account receivable environment preferred with light collection experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone along with reaching. Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work. Moderate noise, ability to work in a confined area, and ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time are also included.

Hybrid Work Model: At The Krusteaz Company, we have in-office "core days" of Tuesdays and Wednesdays where all corporate employees are expected to be onsite. Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays are flexible remote days to allow for work/life balance. You may be asked to come in outside of a core day from time to time, based on business needs. Salary Information: An employee in this position can expect a salary range between $20.53/hour and $29.78/hour. We typically pay out between $21.15/hour and $27.40/hour. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including internal equity, experience, education, certification, training, and location. All positions are eligible for additional incentives based on business performance.
