We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Garden Center Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their gardening needs. You will help maintain the garden center, ensuring that plants and products are well-stocked and presented attractively. Your expertise in gardening and floral design will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and floral arrangements based on their needs and preferences.
- Maintain the garden center by organizing stock, watering plants, and ensuring all displays are visually appealing.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on lawn care, plant care, and gardening techniques to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels and assist with e-commerce initiatives as needed.
- Utilize retail math skills to track sales trends and assist in restocking decisions.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their gardening goals and provide tailored solutions.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Knowledge of gardening, lawn care, and floral design is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain an orderly workspace.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members alike.
