Position Title: Front Desk Agent
Department: Front Office
Reports to: Front Office Manager
Position Overview:
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, creating a welcoming and seamless arrival and departure experience. This role serves as the face of the property and works cross-functionally with various departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in guests, following proper procedures for payment, identification, and room assignment
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, concerns, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner
- Pre-block rooms for VIPs, groups, and guests with special requests
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the hotel’s offerings, promotions, and events
- Handle phone calls, email inquiries, and reservations accurately and courteously
- Utilize property management systems (Infor HMS and others) to manage daily operations, including check-in/out, room status, billing, and reporting
- Execute concierge services such as providing directions, recommendations, and assistance with local bookings
- Communicate effectively with Housekeeping, Sales, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance to support guest needs
- Follow all cash handling, credit card, and data protection policies
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including occupancy, arrivals, departures, and guest preferences
- Support package handling, mail distribution, and other guest services as needed
- Assist with group check-ins and meeting/event support when required
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Proficiency with computers and ability to learn property management systems (Infor HMS experience a plus)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 25 lbs
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, and overnights
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
