Position: Sand Bar Restaurant/ Pool Supervisor
Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage
Job Summary:
The Restaurant Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading scheduled shift restaurant operations, including the Sand Bar and the Pool. The focus of the role will be to strategically manage the operations of the specific scheduled shift with a pro-active approach and gracious attitude. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values. You will be responsible for attending weekly shift supervisor manager meetings to go over wins, opportunities and strengths of your role and shifts throughout the week.
Essential Functions:
Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to:
- Train, supervise, mentor and counsel associates accordingly.
- Create and execute training plans for new Sand Bar/Pool team members.
- Responsible for overall performance of the Sand Bar and Pool operations.
- Prepare and conduct pre-shift meetings communicating pertinent information to the associates before each shift and event. Including count sheets and drawing floor plans.
- Monitor reservations and cover counts.
- Assign server sections and draw floor plans for both venues.
- Collaborate with management to enhance guest’s experiences within the outlets.
- Provide direct service to guests as needed, including, but not limited to, serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, bartending, hosting when needed.
- Any other task directed by the Lake House Management Team.
- Maintain Opening and Closing Side work Duties for Line-level Staff including walk throughs and follow ups.
- Assist with comps and voids and manage them accordingly.
- Assist with menu updates and development.
- Assist with scheduling.
- Execute opening/closing shifts.
- Printing menus for the following shift to ensure there is enough for service.
- Update Sand Bar and Pool special board.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of various POS systems
- Minimum of 3 years’ service experience
- 1 year of leadership experience in a luxury venue and/or craft cocktail program environment preferred
- Previous beverage and supplies buyer experience preferred.
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Infogenesis, Resy, and Outlook; daily use of nearly all programs will occur.
- ServSafe Certified.
- TIPS Certified.
Physical Requirements
Most work tasks are performed outdoors. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 50 lbs., frequently. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs., occasionally.
Length of Assignment
This is a Seasonal Position to support our Sand Bar team during peak season (Summer 2025). This position will end on October 13, 2025.
