Duties:

- Implement treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Skills:
- Pediatrics: Experience working with pediatric patients and knowledge of developmental milestones
- Medical Imaging: Familiarity with interpreting X-rays, MRIs, and other medical imaging results relevant to occupational therapy
- Anatomy Knowledge: Understanding of the structure and function of the human body to assess and treat specific conditions
- Physiology Knowledge: Knowledge of how the body's systems work together to support movement and function
- Acute Care: Ability to provide therapy services in acute care settings, such as hospitals or rehabilitation centers
- Medical Terminology: Proficiency in understanding and using medical terminology related to occupational therapy practice
- Occupational Health: Understanding of occupational health principles and ability to address work-related injuries or conditions
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
