Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and conducting health assessments during detoxification and throughout residential treatment.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to obtain health histories and complete medical clearances for admissions.
- Assess, document, and monitor patient symptoms, progress, and response to treatment.
- Coordinate with internal and external healthcare providers to schedule appointments and obtain medications, lab results, records, and other necessary information.
- Administer various medical tests, including but not limited to toxicology screenings and pregnancy tests.
- Ensure the medical safety and well-being of residents throughout their stay.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid and unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of California.
- Strong clinical skills and a solid understanding of medical procedures and treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to established protocols.
- Great Opportunity for New Graduates! Knowledge or experience in behavioral health/addiction treatment is preferred but not required for candidates with a willingness to learn.
