Duties
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment using industrial dishwashing machines or by hand.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff or chefs.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing away dirty dishes to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests.
- Support catering events or banquets by ensuring all necessary items are clean and ready for service.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality roles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Knowledge of basic food handling practices is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy items when necessary, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
