Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher/ server to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Dishwasher/server you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
Server food to a section of residents in a timely manner following the guidelines set by he company.
This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a collaborative setting and are passionate about supporting the culinary team.
Duties
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including basic food handling and assisting cooks.
- Help with bussing tables during busy service periods to ensure a smooth workflow in the dining area.
- Organize clean dishes and kitchen supplies in designated areas for easy access by kitchen staff.
- Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
- Support catering events by ensuring that all necessary items are cleaned and ready for service.
Skills
- Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
- Willingness to help out in various capacities within the kitchen as needed, including assisting cooks or catering staff during events.
