Seasonal Restaurant Server

Overview
Historic lake-front, dock-and-dine restaurant on China Lake seeks seasonal kitchen and/or customer service staff. Must be able to start in May and work through summer—making this a perfect opportunity for a college student. Must be able to work week days from 11-3 with the option to stay for the dinner shift which ends no later than 8:30. Ability to work at least one weekend day when needed is preferred and at least partial days on major summer holidays. Duties

• Greet guests upon arrival and record orders accurately.
• Serve food and desserts efficiently while maintaining food quality.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, addressing any needs or concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Assist cooks and prep cooks with tasks as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service stations.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or retail setting is preferred but not mandatory; we value a willingness to learn and will train.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including some evenings, at least one weekend day, and holidays as needed.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus but can be taught during training.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
