Golf Pro Shop Attendant Responsibilities:
- Assists members and their guests in selection of merchandise.
- Assists with displaying golf shop merchandise.
- Assists golf professionals with weekly/monthly retail display changes.
- Assist golf professionals with par stock levels.
- Takes tee times as needed under club rules.
- Maintains up-to-date miscellaneous information regarding play, etc. to provide to golfers as they check in.
- Answers golf shop telephone(s).
- Checks golfers in and collects fees.
- Uses cash register.
- Wraps gifts.
- Keeps up with special events (golf tournaments, etc.).
- Assists golf professionals and tournament coordinator with special events.
- Cleans and straightens golf shop as needed.
- Assists Golf Professionals in everyday duties.
- Prepares and maintains coffee station daily.
- Maintains radio or other contact with the shop for up-to-date information on a regular basis.
Golf Pro Shop Attendant Qualifications:
- Retail experience preferred.
- Computer experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and public relations skills required.
- Must be able to meet public in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Golf knowledge preferred.
- Ability to stand throughout duration of shift.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
- Golf Operations operates 6-7 days per week; so, must be able to work overtime if necessary.
- Performs job responsibilities according to the company safety and training programs.
- Reports safety or hazard concerns to management.
- Reports any on the job injury to management.
- Takes personal responsibility for safety every day.
Golf Pro Shop Attendant Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in an environment that requires travel to various locations on campus by approved means.
- Flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
