Job Responsibilities:
- Promotes the game of golf by providing quality, structured golf instruction to all ages and abilities (from beginner to advanced) in both private and group settings.
- Teaches students how to transfer the skills learned in lessons, clinics and/or schools to the golf course.
- Offers clients accurate and up-to-date information and advice on golf. Implements new ideas, innovation and refinement to teaching methods.
- Promotes lessons, schools, clinics and other activities and cultivates a book of business.
- Offers a positive club fitting experience by assisting clients in finding the right products, providing creative solutions and creating results to improve performance.
- Assists in scheduling, checking in and setting up clients in the golf operating systems.
- Assists in daily operations, including but not limited to, set-up and breakdown of lessons, schools and clinics.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous teaching experience with groups of eight or more
- Class A PGA or LPGA certified or in the process of becoming certified
- Thorough knowledge of golf and related equipment and technology
Critical Skills & Knowledge:
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
- Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
- Must have the ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize and delegate in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively.
- Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission.
- Ability to drive a golf cart.
Physical Demands:
- Standing and walking 80% of shift
- Bending and stooping 10% of shift
- Ability to lift, carry or move from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 5% of shift
- Driving a golf cart for 90% of shift.
