What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) - Daytime Hours Available position at The Language and Behavior Center - PA Region?
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for working with children to join our team of Behavioral Health Technicians!
As a BHT, you will work in the child's home, daycare or school settings supporting children ages 2 on play and communication skills while decreasing problem behaviors. At The Language and Behavior Center, you will provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis services under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide reliable one-on-one ABA services based on the child's treatment plan
- Implement programs developed by a BCBA to help build verbal behavior, daily living skills, and social skills
- Provide positive reinforcement to increase appropriate behaviors
- Collect data throughout session to actively monitor the child's progress
- Participate in program development with the BCBA
- Discuss collected data with the BCBA and assist with program modifications to ensure the child continues to progress
- Assist with preference assessment to ensure the child is continually motivated during teaching
- Maintain a professional demeanor with families and supervisors
- Ensure confidentiality and abide by HIPAA regulations

Requirements:
- Driver's license and access to reliable transportation
- Experience working with children
- Availability in the afternoon (3-6:30pm) at least 2 days per week
- Obtain and pass state required background checks
- Must obtain RBT certification within 3 months of start of employment (training provided)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
