Barista

Full Time in office; M-F 8am-3pm, some Saturdays required

Starting Pay: $16/hr

Your Role: The Barista will prepare espresso-based coffee drinks, Italian sodas, smoothies, and other speciality drinks as well as provide excellent customer service to employees at Prestige.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones
• Answering customers’ questions about menu choices
• Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
• Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs
• Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
• Protect the legal, financial, and moral well-being of the company
• Other tasks assigned by management

Proficiencies:

• Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner
• Focus on customer satisfaction
• Practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beverages
• Be efficient and organized
• Build good relationships with customers
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Keep supplies replenished to minimize downtime

Qualifications:

• Barista experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand or remain stationary for continuous periods of time. Frequently communicates with customers, coworkers, and managers.
