About the Organization:

Job Summary:

The Systems Engineer III is an advanced engineering position working with the Operations team.  Because we deploy new technologies frequently, the ability to learn, understand and operate new technologies is paramount, but this position will be focused primarily on AWS.  That means the candidate should have an advanced AWS certification, ideally AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or higher.  It’s also especially important that they’re familiar with AWS data storage and analytics implementations including data lakes, data warehouses, and data lakehouses.

In addition to AWS expertise, this position will be expected to administer, among other things:

  • Cloud identity providers
  • Virtualization Infrastructure

The ideal candidate will be an expert in AWS architecture and be very knowledgeable in at least 1-2 of the above, ideally holding advanced certifications.  They should also be familiar with all of them.  We cannot stress this enough – if you’re an AWS expert we want to talk to you, and if you’re unfamiliar with the tools above it probably wouldn’t be a good fit.

Finally, this position will be the most senior on a team of engineers.  Leadership experience is a plus, though the focus is on technical abilities.

This is a hybrid position, which will require at least 3 days a week in our corporate offices in Sandy, Utah (though you can work more in the office if you prefer), with up to 2 days a week remote.
